What Missing A Concert Taught Me About Launching

Do you ever experience that moment of disappointment when you realize you've missed a concert by one of your favorite artists right in your city? That's exactly what happened to me last month. The artist was Faye Webster, performing in Sydney, and I was completely oblivious to the event. These days, it seems I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to the cool gigs around town.

However, it wasn't always like this for me. Before I became the Chief Brand Botanist at Coming Up Roses, my career was deeply rooted in the music industry. I started as a Marketing Coordinator, eventually becoming a Social Media Manager for a major concert promotion company in Los Angeles.

Back then, I was in the know about all the gigs—it was my team's job to ensure they were well-promoted and to sell as many tickets as the venue could hold. The effectiveness of our marketing directly translated to our sales figures.

This experience taught me invaluable lessons about the art of launching:

- 🛠️ Building Excitement: Before announcing a big tour, creating a sense of anticipation is crucial.
- 🤘 Finding the Niche Audience:Every artist, like a brand, has its niche audience. Identifying and targeting this group is key.
- 🎟️ Rewarding Loyalty: Offering perks to loyal concert-goers strengthens their connection to the brand.
- 🎤 Creating Memorable Experiences: Ensuring that each event is unforgettable encourages fans to keep coming back.
